The places of residence of lonely elderly citizens, large families are again in the focus of attention of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In Zelenodolsk, preventive raids are carried out regularly by employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad and the department of supervisory activities in the Zelenodolsk district. With the onset of cold weather, the emphasis is special. As practice shows, it is in conditions of low temperatures that the number of fires and fires in the residential sector increases. This is due to the mass use of electric heating devices, heating furnaces. Any malfunction, even insignificant at first glance, can lead to a fire.
- The main purpose of preventive raids is not to punish, but to show and specifically explain what a particular violation of fire safety rules threatens, - comments Albert Gayfutdinov, senior inspector of the Department of supervision and preventive work in the Zelenodolsk district. - During preventive raids, we pay attention to the condition of the electrical wiring in the house, the serviceability and proper operation of household electrical appliances. We also remind you of the need to install autonomous fire detectors in homes. These simple devices, in the event of a fire, will be able to detect a fire at the initial stage and, thereby, save people's lives.
During the next preventive raid, the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited several addresses where families in a socially dangerous situation live. Fire sensors have already been installed in their homes and apartments under the charity program. Inspectors of supervisory activities check their operability, and, if necessary, replace faulty devices and batteries. Preventive conversations are held with parents with many children, and fire safety memos are distributed.
It is worth noting that this year, on behalf of the Head of the Zelenodolsk district, Mikhail Afanasyev, 1000 sensors were additionally purchased for the amount of 450 thousand rubles. In total, since 2016, at the expense of the Executive Committee of the Zelenodolsk district, over 3,400 devices have been purchased in the amount of about one and a half million rubles. In addition to the places of residence of large families, these devices will be equipped with houses and apartments of single, elderly and disabled people absolutely free of charge.
