Educational work with the younger generation is one of the most important areas of preventive activity of the fire service. It's no secret that vivid impressions help children form the right attitude to fire safety for life. In addition, the image of a firefighter is rightfully considered an example of high moral and volitional qualities of a person, good physical shape, as well as a guideline for a positive and responsible attitude to life, profession, and people around them.
The head of the department told the students about his profession, the specifics of the training and daily routine of firefighters, about fire trucks for various purposes and fire extinguishing equipment. He shared stories about his participation in the elimination of fires and the consequences of accidents. The guests learned the rules of behavior in case of fire and "alarm numbers" for calling the responding services in case of emergencies. The children were able to try on firefighters' combat equipment, explored fire trucks and even operated a fire barrel!
Perhaps the most impressive part of the tour was the demonstration departure of the combat crew on alert and extinguishing the burning car with air-mechanical foam, which in practice often happens with serious damage to the car, as a result of a traffic accident.
At parting, the firefighters handed sweet gifts to the little guests and instructed them to take responsibility for their own safety.
