On the eve of the Civil Defense Day, a staff training on civil defense is held in all federal executive authorities and subjects of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The start of the event was given by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
"The state pays special attention to the safety of citizens. Therefore, the implementation of civil defense measures is one of the most urgent tasks today. The main purpose of the training is to test our readiness to act on purpose. It is important to work out all tasks, including issues of notification and informing the population," Alexander Kurenkov said.
In each subject, the most difficult situation is simulated, taking into account the risks of emergency situations. Participants work out various tasks during staff work and practical actions. Scenarios of events include emergency rescue and other urgent work, evacuation of the population from the emergency zone, drill reviews of personnel and equipment. At the same time, special attention is paid to a comprehensive assessment of the situation and the correctness of decision-making by management bodies.
The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia assessed the actions of forces and means in the Moscow region. Together with him, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Yuri Vorobyov, and the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, observed the practical events.
