The head of the Zelenodolsk municipal district, Mikhail Afanasyev, met with volunteer rescuer Pavel Matvey – the real hero who saved 11 people during the hurricane.
Recall that on that fateful evening on July 29, Pavel saved a family of 4 people and took everyone ashore on a jet ski. And later the man helped 7 more people whose boat capsized. An act worthy of a real man did not remain in the shadows. Words of sincere gratitude and support were showered on Pavel Matveev from social networks and public.
And today, the head of the Zelenodolsk municipal district, Mikhail Afanasyev, shook the hand of a courageous volunteer rescuer. On behalf of the entire leadership of the municipality, on behalf of all residents of the Zelenodolsk district, he expressed his gratitude and presented Pavel Matveev with a Certificate of Honor from the Head of the ZMR, a certificate for a cash prize (50,000 rubles) and a new waterproof smartphone.
