On this day 28 years ago, on May 10, 1995, by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 457, the Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was created.
Tatarstan has its own aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia appeared 16 years ago, on November 15, 2007. On this day, the first aviation base in the Volga region of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia began its work at the Kazan International Airport. The crew of the Mi-8MTV helicopter took up combat duty to provide aviation support for various operations.
The decision to create a Russian Emergencies Ministry aviation group in Tatarstan was made in January 2007 at a meeting with Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev with the participation of Russian Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu. Then the parties agreed to transfer to each other part of their powers in solving issues of fire extinguishing and emergency prevention.
Today, the Kazan aviators of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are armed with the MI-8 MTV1 helicopter - this is a universal machine (one of the best in its class in terms of flight qualities) equipped with all the necessary equipment for rescue operations.
