The brave Kazan citizen was awarded the medal of the Russia EMERCOM "For the rescue of dying on the waters"
The hero and his family were invited by SISV inspectors to visit them, where they handed over the departmental award of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in a solemn atmosphere. The rescuer by vocation received a medal from the hands of the Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for small vessels Yuri Venediktov.
The rescue itself occurred on November 16, 2022. Then a young father of two children Viktor Strizhko was fishing on the Kazanka River near the Ak Bars Arena football stadium. The man saw that 7-8 meters from the shore someone fell through the ice. At that moment, he threw himself into the icy water and swam.
Once on the shore, the man independently called an ambulance. The doctors who arrived examined not only the culprit of the incident, but also her savior. As a result, a woman with signs of hypothermia was hospitalized.
