This was once again recalled by the head of the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, Colonel of the Internal Service Maxim Truschin during a briefing for journalists in Tatar-Inform.
Maxim Trushchin explained that from April 17 to May 10, a special fire protection regime is being introduced in the Republic of Tatarstan, the purpose of which is to reduce the likelihood of wildfires and minimize the negative consequences from them.
This year, 116 settlements exposed to the threat of forest fires and other fires, 75 horticultural and suburban non-profit associations of citizens, 84 children's health camps bordering forest areas have been registered.
