Nizhnekamsk firefighters conducted scheduled training sessions together with the plant of styrene and polyester resins "Nizhnekamskneftekhim"
The tactics of operational coordinated actions were worked out by specialists of the detachment of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Department of Contractual Divisions in the Republic of Tatarstan and the staff of the styrene and polyester resins plant "Nizhnekamskneftekhim".
Scheduled training sessions were held on the territory of the plant in early February. According to the scenario of the exercise, as a result of the depressurization of the equipment, a leak of liquid substance under pressure occurred. The substance filled the room, and its evaporation led to chemical contamination of the workshop area. Taking into account the harmfulness of the substance, its ability to cause suffocation and burns, the combat work of the units was carried out with the use of respiratory protection and chemical protection suits.
The end of the exercises was given at the 35th minute after the alarm was given. The actions of the fire protection units and the personnel of the facility received a satisfactory assessment.
