Today, on a professional holiday - the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation - the head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Rafis Khabibullin took part in a meeting with media representatives during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The topic was "On measures to ensure the comprehensive safety of the population and the smooth operation of the housing and communal services of the Republic of Tatarstan during the New Year holidays."
The briefing was also attended by the heads of the Tatarstan Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rosgvardiya, as well as the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The head of the Tatarstan Central Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia presented to the public information on fire safety during the New Year and Christmas festive events of 2022-2023.
The main causes of fires during the New Year holidays of 2021-2022 in the Republic of Tatarstan were:
- careless handling of fire – 53 fires;
- incorrect installation and malfunction of heating stoves and chimneys – 52 fires.
- violation of the rules of technical operation of electrical equipment – 32 fires.
Rafis Khabibullin once again noted that the best and most reliable means of detecting a fire at an early stage is still an autonomous fire detector. According to him, work continues in the republic on the installation of autonomous smoke detectors in the households of citizens.
