Right before the opening, exercises were held at the ferry to eliminate the consequences of a conditional accident. They were attended by employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees servicing the ice crossing. The forces and means of the police and emergency medical services were also involved.
The idea of the exercises is based on a real incident that may occur during the operation of ice crossings. The number one task is to rescue a passenger who could not get out of the car on his own.
By joint efforts, the victim was released from the car, the rescuers of the zonal search and rescue squad escorted him aboard the hovercraft. GIMS inspectors went to the shore to hand over the man to the doctors.
The final stage of the exercise is the extraction of a partially collapsed car under the ice. This was done by the workers of the ice crossing with the involvement of a tractor and other equipment.
