On this day in 2003, the UN Convention against Corruption, adopted by the UN General Assembly on November 1, 2003, was opened for signature at a high-level Political Conference in the Mexican city of Merida.
Russia was among the first countries to sign the Convention. In March 2006, the UN Convention against Corruption was ratified in Russia.
The Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan has approved a program for the implementation of anti–corruption policy for 2015-2025, which includes a set of measures for legal, organizational support of anti-corruption measures.
The Ministry carries out the measures established by the Federal Law "On Combating Corruption", other federal laws, laws of the Republic of Tatarstan to ensure compliance by civil servants with restrictions and prohibitions, requirements aimed at preventing or resolving conflicts of interest. Much attention is paid to raising awareness and legal awareness of the Ministry's civil servants, the inadmissibility of corruption cases.
