The first day of the VI ‘Young Professionals’ Regional Championship (WorldSkills Russia) of the Republic of Tatarstan 2017-2018 on the ‘Rescue Works’ competence finished in the Tetyushi State College of Civil Defense. The competitions were attended by 25 young professionals, future rescuers, as well as 15 participants of the ‘WorldSkills Junior’ Championship. The participants competed in putting on firefighter clothes, providing first aid and knitting alpine knot.

25 young professionals and 15 participants of the ‘Worldskills Junior’ championship contest in the Tetyushi State College of Civil Defense in the ‘Rescue Works’ competence. The championship includes in total 91 competences for participants at the age from 16 to 22, as well as 23 competences in the ‘Worldskills Junior’ direction, which are attended by participants at the age from 14 to 16. 945 participants compete at those grounds, and 837 experts assess them. Today there was the solemn opening of the championship.

Dew to setting lower air temperatures in lakes, ponds, waters with slow water flow on the republic’s territory, there is a process of freezing over. In addition, the set air temperature is not enough for strong and safe ice cover formation. In order to prevent accidents connected with walking on thin ice in municipal districts, mobile patrol crews work on that every day. During the winter period of 2017-2018, 4 ice passages are going to be examined in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Incidents as of November 26:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 38 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 15, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 8 fires: apartment houses – 2, private houses – 2, garden houses – 1, bathhouses – 2, other objects – 1.
