A civilized holiday by the water is a guarantee of safety
This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Surzhko during a press conference in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was devoted to the implementation of legislation on ensuring the safety of people on water bodies in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The structure of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation includes the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels, the main tasks of which are the implementation of state supervision over small vessels and bases (structures) for their parking and their use in the internal waters and in the territorial sea of the Russian Federation and ensuring, within its competence, the safety of people on water bodies (carried out through participation in search and rescue of people on water bodies).
The powers of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of civil defense, prevention of emergency situations of inter-municipal and regional nature, natural disasters and elimination of their consequences, organization of fire extinguishing, ensuring the safety of people on water bodies are implemented through the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The State Institution "RT PSS under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan" also carries out search and rescue of people on water bodies by the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
- The analysis of deaths over the past 3 years has shown that we mainly kill men - 91%. 75% of the dead were in the active, working age from 17 to 59 years. During the period of active fishing on boats - in May, September and October, we lose an average of 35 more people a year! Death from a fall from a boat without a life jacket is the second largest cause of death on the water. And the main reason - 66% of all deaths - is bathing in unequipped places, including in a state of intoxication.
All cases of deaths of children on the water are associated with a lack of control on the part of adults! Children near the water are completely defenseless. Especially if the child does not know how to swim. People do not think about it, but every child, being left unattended by an adult on the shore of a reservoir or in the water, puts his life in danger!
All deaths during swimming are recorded in non-equipped recreation areas.
