SISV inspectors remind that swimming is prohibited until the summer begins

15 May 2021, Saturday

The raid on the reservoirs of Kazan is carried out daily by SISV employees together with SRW volunteers and traffic police inspectors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Preventive measures are held on the reservoir in Victory Park, on Lake Komsomolsky, Bolshoy Lebyazhye and Glubokoe, as well as on the beach "Lower Zarechye".

Vacationers on the shore are reminded that the bathing season is not officially open yet and it is forbidden to swim until June 1. The inspectors handed out memos with information about how to behave near the water and on the water.

- The lake in Victory Park was chosen for the raid because there is a catamaran rental point here. Skaters must be wearing life jackets, and we also control this. In addition, there are cases of bathing. It is always forbidden to swim in this lake. We conduct preventive raids to prevent people from dying on water bodies. - explained the head of the Kazan inspection department of the SISV Center of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Denis Mokeev.

The swimming season in Tatarstan is planned to open from June 1, while it is forbidden to enter the water even on equipped beaches. And for bathing in unequipped places, a person can be fined by the administrative commissions of the municipality in the amount of 1 thousand to 1.5 thousand rubles. So far this year, no one has been brought to justice for this, and in 2020, almost 400 swimmers were fined throughout Tatarstan.

At the same time, the most frequent violators are people under the influence of alcohol and children, said Nikita Korobitsyn, chairman of the SRW of Kazan.

"Based on the experience of past years, I can say that children and people in a state of alcoholic intoxication are at risk on water bodies. Therefore, I would like to convey to everyone that children should not be left unattended near the water. At the same time, it does not matter whether it is forbidden to swim or not. And for adults, I would like to remind you that you can not drink alcoholic beverages on the beaches, because this can lead to vasodilation and convulsions on the water," the public figure stressed.

He also noted that now, despite the hot weather, the water has not yet warmed up and temperature changes can also affect the condition of the swimmer.

During the summer swimming season, rescuers will be on duty daily at all water bodies, ready to provide first aid to drowning people. For example, last year on the lake in the Victory Park, one adult and one child were rescued who were in trouble.

During the raid, the campers were given memos with the rules of conduct on water bodies and precautions.

In addition, the inspectors noticed two groups of teenagers who decided to swim on this hot day. They were asked to get out of the water and had a preventive conversation with them.
