This was stated today by the Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for small vessels Yuri Venediktov during a briefing for media representatives. The topic of the briefing is "On the requirements for the use of small vessels and ensuring safety on the water during the 2021 swimming season".
Hot May weather, established in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, forces residents to seek refuge from the heat on the banks of reservoirs. Many residents of the republic went to the reservoirs, without waiting for the official start of the bathing season. At the same time, the water has not yet warmed up enough for safe bathing, and therefore it is fraught with danger. Sudden changes in temperature can cause convulsions and heart attacks, as a result of which a person can drown.
And, unfortunately, as a result of swimming in unequipped places in the period from 11 to 14 May, 2 people died. Three people, including one teenager, were rescued.
Swimming in unequipped, dangerous places is the main cause of death on water bodies.
Let me remind you that for bathing in places that are not equipped with rescue posts, an administrative fine is provided in accordance with Article 3.10 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Tatarstan - from one thousand to one thousand five hundred rubles.
Accordingly, when you plan to go on vacation to the reservoir, you should always choose equipped beaches with rescue posts, where, if necessary, there are rescuers and medical personnel ready to help.
During this period, the municipalities are working on the preparation of beaches. Technical inspection of places of mass recreation of people near the water, the inspectors of the SISV will begin next week. If the beaches meet all the requirements for the safety of people, they will be officially opened.
