Residents of coastal areas, attention! The water level continues to rise in the Nizhnekamsk and Kuibyshev reservoirs

Spring filling continues at the Kuibyshev reservoir. Over the past day, water levels in most of the Kuibyshev reservoir within the territory of Tatarstan increased from 1 to 8 cm, in the upper part of the Volga section of the reservoir from 11 to 17 cm.
Water levels in the Kuibyshev reservoir are observed mainly at levels below the long-term average maximum values of 20-134 cm.
The spring rise of the water level with a daily intensity of +13 cm at the Vyatskye Polyany continues on the Vyatka River.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan appeals to the residents of the Republic of Tatarstan living in the specified coastal zone along the Volga and Kama rivers in the basin of the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs and strongly recommends taking care of the safety of property and being prepared for flooding of the adjacent low-lying and floodplain territories.
Remember the rules of your own safety:
- be vigilant and extremely careful when going out on the water on small vessels;
- limit trips to the islands during this period;
- avoid long stops on islands and in the coastal area;
- do not plan to spend the night on the islands or on the shore in a place of possible flooding;
- do not set up tent camps in dangerous places;
- do not leave children unattended near the water.
