Military engineers of the Ministry of Defense and rescuers of the EMERCOM minimized the consequences of high water in the Verkhneuslon district
9 house territories in the village of Kuralovo, Verkhneuslonsky district, were flooded today on April 9 from the Sulitsa River, which was caused by a sharp rise in water from heavy snowmelt and precipitation at night and the formation of a congestion phenomenon near the locality of Russian Burnashevo. The riverbed of the Sulitsa River near the village of Russian Burnashevo is winding, while it is closed by ice, it runs along the entire settlement.
13 kilograms of 600 grams of explosive material (tnt) were used during the blasting operations. The total area of the ice destroyed by the explosions was 360 sq. m. In total, 11 people and 2 units of equipment were involved in the blasting operations.
As a result of the blasting, the water level on the Sulitsa River dropped by 30 cm. The situation on the Sulitsa River has stabilized, and a decline in water is predicted.
