The strongest athletes of special departments of the Federal Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia compete in Kazan
All-Russian competitions in fire and rescue sports among special departments of the Federal Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia have started in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony was attended by the management of the Main Department of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal State Budgetary Institution" Special Department of the Federal Fire Service No. 35 of the EMERCOM of Russia, as well as the heads of enterprises whose protection is provided by special fire departments.
The program of the All-Russian competitions includes two types of programs-climbing the assault stairs to the 4th floor of the training tower and overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course. The teams consist of 5 athletes and two substitutes.
-These competitions are an opportunity to look at the "case" of the leading athletes of Russia, among whom there are candidates for the national team of the EMERCOM of Russia in fire and rescue sports - said the senior sports coach of the Center for Physical Training and Sports of the EMERCOM of Russia Igor Generalov. - My task is to see and choose the best athletes for the Russian national team, who will defend the honor of the country at the World Championship in fire and rescue sports in Kazakhstan, starting in September 2021. In 2019, let me remind you, we won the title of world champions, taking the first meta in all disciplines. This success was the first time in history. That year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, no international competitions were held. Therefore, for the upcoming tournament there is only one task-to defend the title of the strongest team in the world.
The awarding ceremony of the winners and prize-winners, as well as the closing ceremony, is scheduled for 14.30 on March 24.
