Drunkenness is the cause of fires: employees of the Zelenodolsk fire and rescue garrison carried out preventive work in a medical sobering-up facility
Analyzing the statistics with the latest cases of fires, as a result of which people who abuse alcoholic beverages died, the employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad decided to strengthen preventive work with this category of citizens and went to promote fire safety measures in the local sobering-up center.
Modern detox facilities are clean, comfortable facilities equipped with a video surveillance system. Basically, police officers and emergency medical workers bring here people who are heavily intoxicated and unable to move independently. It is this category of citizens that the employees of the fire service paid special attention to.
Employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad talk to customers of the detox after they have had a good night's sleep and come to their senses, so that words of persuasion and calls to be careful with fire at least somewhat penetrate their clouded minds. They talk to drinkers, hand out memos about fire safety, and explain the dangers of smoking in bed while drunk with illustrative examples of fires. As part of the organization of joint work with representatives of the medical institution, the employees of the 8th squad provide them with visual propaganda, place posters on fire-fighting topics on the information stands of the detox facility.
Employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad plan to carry out joint preventive work in the detox facility periodically. And if their appeals and words of persuasion will save at least one life, this work will not be in vain.
