EMERCOM of Russia: in the regions of the Russian Federation, a large-scale check of the public notification system will be held
On March 3, comprehensive checks of the readiness of public alert systems at the regional and municipal levels will be carried out in all regions of the country.
From 10: 40 local time, it is planned to send the signal «ВНИМАНИЕ ВСЕМ!» by launching electric sirens and loudspeakers, as well as the subsequent replacement of broadcast broadcasts on all-Russian mandatory public TV and radio channels (up to 1 min).
The purpose of the checks is to work out the timely delivery of verification signals and information to the public about the dangers that arise in the event of a threat or occurrence of natural and man-made emergencies.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia appeals to citizens to remain calm. The delivery of audio signals and the replacement of the TV air are planned.
In 2021, such inspections are scheduled for March 3 and October 6.
