Disappointing results of the first three holidays
In total, from January 1 to 3, 2021, 45 fires occurred in the republic, in which 7 people were killed, 14 people were rescued. It should be noted that during the same period last year, 29 fires occurred, there were no deaths from fires.
The main number of fires during the New Year holidays in Tatarstan occurred in the residential sector. The main cause of fires with loss of life is carelessness when smoking.
The main causes of fires during the New Year holidays were:
- careless handling of fire;
- carelessness when smoking;
- incorrect installation and malfunction of heating stoves and chimneys;
- violation of the rules of technical operation of electrical equipment;
- violation of the rules of the device and operation of vehicles.
The Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan warns:
- do not abuse alcoholic beverages, never smoke in bed, refrain from smoking inside the house or apartment, especially when intoxicated;
- do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety and behavior in case of fire, teach kids not to hide, but to run away from a burning room;
- never use faulty and homemade electrical wiring and electrical appliances, do not overload the power grid, be careful when using electric heaters;
- do not leave electrical appliances, gas equipment, or a heating stove unattended.
- do not heat apartments and houses with gas stoves;
Remember: a fire does not occur by itself. Its cause is human negligence and carelessness in handling fire. In a state of alcoholic intoxication, a person loses control over himself and his actions, and even more so can not bear any responsibility for the life of another person.
