Against the background of a fire with the death of 11 people that occurred in a private boarding house for the elderly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Prosecutor's Office of Tatarstan initiated inspections of public and private institutions with round-the-clock stay of people. Today, specialists of the Prosecutor's Office together with inspectors of the department of supervision and preventive work in the Vakhitov district of Kazan conducted a fire safety check of a private boarding house for the elderly located on Tazi Gizzat Street.

The boarding house has just opened only this summer, it was the first inspection. Emergency workers together with employees of the Prosecutor's office and a private entrepreneur, who opened the facility with round-the-clock stay of people, marched through the floors of the boarding house where currently there are 28 seniors who need some care. Immediately, the inspectors of the GPN drew attention to the inter-storey doors, which did not have seals. In the event of a fire, the doors will allow smoke to pass through. On the third floor, in one of the rooms on the ceiling, the standards for installing an autonomous fire detector were violated, that is, it was very close to the lighting chandelier. And in the corridor on the same floor near the elevator was narrowed passage, which is an evacuation passage in the event of a fire. Such shortcomings were identified at the beginning of the inspection, after which the inspectors of supervisory activities moved on to checking regulatory documents.
