Today, a press conference on water safety was held on the territory of the SISV Center of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. Yuri Venediktov, chief state inspector of small vessels of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that 36 people were killed on the water from June 1 to July 12, and 21 people were killed in the same period last year. The main causes of death: 32 people were swimming in unequipped places, 14 people died as a result of falling into the water from the shore or as a result of improper use of a small vessel.
The number of beaches in the Republic is constantly growing. at a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018, it was decided to increase the number of beaches, as the majority of swimmers die in places that are not equipped for swimming. This year, a completely new beach was opened in the Kama Estuary, there were 36 beaches. What is the difference between beaches and non-equipped places of rest? This can be told by the example of the death of a teenager on lake Pionerskoe in the Nizhnekamsk district. Two teenagers were walking in shallow water, there was a sandy bottom, shallow, and one of them, who could not swim, just got into a hole. This is, of course, especially dangerous for a child. First, a sharp drop in concentration, the child is scared, the first breath he already takes in the water, respectively, the second breath he can almost not do, and dies.
On July 11, the head of the main Department of the EMERCOM of Russia for RT, Rafis Khabibullin, understanding the importance of this issue and considering that the death was progressing, addressed the President of the Republic at a meeting of heads, following which an order was adopted by the KCHSPB of the Republic signed by Prime Minister Pesoshin. The main measures - first of all, practical work with people at reservoirs, attention to unequipped places, and the population, as practice shows, actively rests on the shore and in the water, without observing any safety rules. Fines are applied to such violators.
Advice to residents is very simple: you need to remember that water is not a place for games, it is an environment that is aggressive for humans. Any games, ostentatious heroism can always lead to tragedy.
