The first group of FFS on RT received modern equipment and saw off its legendary chief
Airat Safin, General Director of PJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, presented the keys to two new fire trucks purchased for the fire and rescue units of the unit protecting the Nizhnekamsk industrial complex to the firefighters of the 1st detachment of the Federal fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The latest technology is the AC-5,0-40 tanker based on the KAMAZ chassis and the ASO-12 communication and lighting vehicle based on the Gazon – NEXT chassis. The vehicles are designed to deliver personnel and fire – fighting equipment to the scene of a fire or accident. In addition, the tanker carries fire extinguishers, which are 5,000 liters of water and 300 liters of foam.
The communication and lighting vehicle ASO-12 differs from the previous version in the presence of a trailer lighting mast. In all emergency situations, the retractable searchlight rises to a height of 9 meters and operates at a 360-degree rotation radius, illuminating the emergency site on an area of 33,000 square meters. The car is also equipped with a thermal imager, which is necessary to search for victims without entering the smoke zone. The included staff table is lighter and easier to use.
At the event, it was also announced to the personnel of the 1st detachment that their legendary chief, Alexey Shapovalov, was leaving his post. This was announced by the head of the Department of contractual divisions of the Federal fire service of the State fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafail Motygullin
The event ended with a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to firefighters who died in the line of duty.
