Canine service of EMERCOM of Russia today marks 23 years

Today the canine service of EMERCOM of Russia celebrates the next anniversary from the date of formation. In 1996 there was signed the order about creation of the search dog service of group "Centrospas". Since then, the four-legged soldiers have become regular participants of rescue operations.

In Ministry of emergency measures of Russia more than 600 canine calculations. Employees of the canine service participated in hundreds of search and rescue operations not only in Russia but also abroad.

In EMERCOM of Russia labradors, shepherds, retrievers, spaniels, terriers, ridgebacks, rottweilers, riesenschnauzers, huskies, dachshunds, fox terriers and even spitz and newfoundland "work". These dogs are very hardy, able to work in difficult weather conditions, and in addition, these natural breeds have a desire to help people in everything, especially those in trouble.

Dog handlers daily train four-legged rescuers to quickly and effectively look for the lost and injured, because the time in emergency situations – one of the main factors affecting the result of the rescue operation.
