Dear colleagues, dear veterans!
I congratulate you, this is the day of World civil defence, which is celebrated by the member countries of the International civil defence organization (ICDO).
The activities of the ICDO are aimed at comprehensive strengthening of national and international capacities, introduction of new methods and technologies in the field of protection of population and territories from emergency situations, as well as strengthening of international cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of disasters.
Our country is a full member and strategic partner of the ICDO, actively participating in humanitarian operations and international development assistance programmes. The result of our joint work is to save lives, reduce the number of victims of natural and man - made disasters, increase resilience to disasters through the comprehensive strengthening of emergency prevention and response systems at the international and global levels.
