Deadly danger of smoking in bed
Four people were killed in two fires that occurred tonight on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. And in both tragic cases, the cause of fire and death was Smoking at home while intoxicated. Deadly fires occurred in Laishevsky and Leninogorsk districts.

February 22, 2018, Laishevsky municipal district, village Kaipy, Derzhavin str., private house.
The second fire with two dead bodies occurred in the village Sugushla of Leninogorsky municipal area. Inspection of the scene inspectors SFS confirmed the version of careless handling of fire. The hearth of the fire was in that place where the victim slept.
The main causes of fires in the residential sector:
• careless handling of fire – 30,35% (732) of the total number of fires in the residential sector (an increase of 0.27% compared to the same period last year ITPG(730));
* violation of the rules of construction and operation of electrical equipment and household appliances-35.36% (853) of the total number of fires in the residential sector (a decrease of 3.07% compared to ITPG(880));
* violation of the rules of construction and operation of furnace equipment-26.8% (647) of the total number of fires in the residential sector (there is a decrease of 0.77% compared to the same period last year (652));
* arson-3.2% (74) of the total number of fires in the residential sector (an increase of 5.41% compared to ITPG (74)).
Due to the fault of drunk people in the residential sector there were 198 fires (8.2% of the total number of fires in the residential sector), an increase of 2.59% compared to the ITPG- (193).
