This was stated today by the first Deputy Chairman of the Commission on prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety of the Republic of Tatarstan – first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin during an unscheduled meeting of the Commission on prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting discussed the issue of "additional measures to reduce the number of fires and deaths."
- Since the beginning of the new 2019, there has been an increase in the death of people in fires, Rustam Karimullin noted in his opening speech. - As of today in fire 23 persons, among them, unfortunately, 1 child were lost. The increase in deaths in fires compared to the same period last year is observed in 11 municipalities. Among the "leaders": Aksubayevsk, Verkhneuslonsk, Zelenodolsk, Pestretsy regions and Kazan, where the fire occurred with a group loss of life.
15 people were died in fires that occurred in residential buildings. The main condition that contributed to the death of people was their being in a state of intoxication.
The main Department of EMERCOM of Russia on RT is carrying out fire-preventive operation "Zhiliche-2019". With this purpose, prepared the order, which provides a complex of preventive measures.
Summing up the meeting, Rustam Nigmatullin instructed the heads of district administrations to work more closely together with village councils with people who are listed in the socially dangerous category.
