Within the Year of culture of safety in the system of EMERCOM of Russia employees of supervisory bodies carry out preventive lessons in educational institutions. Another such lesson was conducted with students of Zainsk school No. 6, in which there was explained fire safety measures. After the lesson there was held training evacuation from the building in case of fire.

Incidents as of February 13:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 45 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 25, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 10. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires: residential sector – 3, outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1.

As experience shows, the greatest number of fires occur at night when people are asleep and not able to detect fire and take measures to eliminate it. Therefore, the use of autonomous detectors, so-called sensors, is one of the effective ways of protection. Last year in 6 cases, the signal helped to save 18 lives. Including 9 children's rescue. The main causes of fires are old electrical network, childish prank or careless handling of fire while smoking.

Preventive activities conducted by employees of the state fire supervision were dedicated to the Year of Safety Culture in the system of EMERCOM of Russia. One of the methods of training citizens is to hold consultations, instructional lessons, meetings with the population and speeches at gatherings of citizens.

Including garbage extinguishing – 0, false alarms – 11, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 1 fire: saunas – 1.

From February 14 to 19, 2018 there will be held All-Russian competitions on applied fire sport in Kazan. More than 50 teams, including 13 subjects of the Russian Federation, and it is more than 450 athletes from various regions of Russia will compete for the champion title. Applied fire sport includes a variety of martial arts with the fire element, athletic disciplines (running over obstacles, fire relay, climbing up with a hook ladder, etc.) and quest directions connected with the performance of technical tasks (combat deployment).

Only for the week from February 5 to 11, employees of the search and rescue service under EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan have made 46 departures to carry out preventive works. During interviews the rescuers gave 1,369 memos. There were 107 rescuers. Fishermen are among the main "clients" of rescuers. In addition, rescuers constantly warn students against walking on ice of reservoirs.

About 600 employees of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of RT took part in the largest sports competition of "Ski Track of Russia — 2018". The main start was held at the 'Lokomotiv' stadium in the village of Yudino. In addition, the competition was held in Gorky-Ometyevo forest park and on the floodplain of the Kazanka river on Gavrilov street. According to the organizers, the massive race was attended by about 20 thousand people in Kazan, and about 150 thousand sport fans in Tatarstan.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated 13 fires: residential sector – 3, outhouses – 2, garages – 1, saunas – 5, other buildings – 2. 1 person was injured.

The meeting was attended by the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Nigmatullin, the Deputy Prime Minister of RT – Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science of RT, Rafis Burganov, the Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Rafis Khabibullin, Minister of Health of RT, Adel Vafin. The meeting was devoted to measures taken in connection with the outbreak of disease of children who attend Kazanbash primary education school in Arsk Municipal District, Tatarstan.
