The most extended causes of fires are using electrical appliances wrongly, careless using of fire, as well as using furnace and gas equipment incorrectly. Employees of supervisory and preventive work of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan yearly hold preventive events in the residential sector, on the objects of energy and heating complex, on the objects of education, health care, social and communal fields, conduct fire preventive propaganda, people informing, address working with citizens on keeping safety measures at production and home.

Incidents as of October 16:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 39 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 10. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires: residential sector – 2, outhouses – 2, various types of property – 1. 1 person was saved. 1 person was injured.

From October 10 to 13, there were held competitions on combat deployment among duty guards of fire and rescue departments of the first squad of the federal fire service in Nizhnekamsk on the squad’s training polygon. It was attended by 56 duty guards each of five people. Total of 580 firefighters too part.

Educating the population in the field of civil defense is held on all levels: for employed and disabled people, as well as for students of educational institutions. Skills gotten within events on civil defense further will help people to cope with emergency situations. Every person should know the list of dangers and threats considering his living region, have practice skills of self-aid provision, and be able to correctly and adequately ask for help from rescuers. Similar ‘safety lessons’ for people are held on a permanent basis in every district of Tatarstan.

Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 12, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 8. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires: residential sector – 3, outhouses – 2. 3 people were saved.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 36 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 12, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 5. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires: residential sector – 3.

From October 10 to 13, educational and training gatherings of rescuers of Volga Federal Okrug on holding search and rescue operations on natural environment are held in Kazan. Total of 62 rescuers from Volga regions gathered in Kazan. Participants of gatherings practice their professional skills on the base of Kazan search and rescue squad, the branch of Volga search and rescue squad of EMERCOM of Russia, where a training polygon was specially prepared, and in gypsum caves of Kama estuary.

Today, Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant-General of Inner Service, Rafis Khabibullin, handed certificates for one-time social payments for purchasing or building living quarters to employees of the Federal Fire Service. As of September 1, 2017, 342 families of FFS employees are registered for getting the payment, including 12 families in 2013, 262 families in 2014, 39 families in 2015, 20 families in 2016, 9 families in 2017.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 52 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 10, false alarms – 17, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 0, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires: residential sector – 4. 1 person died.

During the line inspection, examiners firstly paid attention to the outfit of employees. Neat haircut, polished boots, everything should meet military statute. Also, there was checked certificate, that must meet employees rank and position, the presence of metal badge with personal number and items for personal hygiene: a handkerchief and a comb.
