On the eve of the celebration of the 368th anniversary of formation of fire protection department of Russia and the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War at a memorial to the died firefighters of the Head department of the Ministry of Emergency  of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan has taken place the solemn meeting devoted to the Day of remembrance of the died employees of fire protection.

Today, EMERCOM employees held lessons in all republican schools within the All-Russian Life Safety Fundamentals Lesson, dedicated to safe behavior of children during summer and organized to the Civil Defense Year in EMERCOM of Russia system. One of such lessons took place in Kazan school No. 99. Rescuers of zonal search and rescue squad No. 2 arrived to the children. The organizers of the events showed them primary way of medical aid provision to a drowning and ways of rescuing a drowning by swimming, and demonstrated abilities of hydraulic equipment.

Employees of the 8th federal fire service squad organized several events with students of comprehensive schools of Zelenodolsk and Zelenodolsk District. The Museum of fire service of Zelenodolsk received another group of schoolchildren. Excursion for eighth-graders from the city gymnasium No. 3 began with the fire station facade. Then, excursion in the museum. The children saw fire automatics, items from real fire sites, discovered combat gear, technique of modern firefighters. In the end of the excursion, they watched a film about the history of fire business in Zelenodolsk, asked questions.

My sincere congratulations with the Fire Service Day of the Russian Federation, established by the Decree of the President of Russi. On April 1649, Aleksey Romanov signed ‘The Order of the City Deanery’, the first official document  about the creation of professional fire service. I wish strong health, happiness, family well-being, success in service and job, growing of professional skills to the whole many thousands staff and our veterans! Incidents as of April 27:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 153 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 50, dry grass extinguishing – 6, false alarms – 67, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 0, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 11 fires, including residential sector – 3. 1 person was injured.

This year, Zelenodolsk firefighters decided to pay tribute to memory and respect by visiting graves of their veterans. But there was conducted a great work to find necessary graves. They looked for relatives, by themselves, and with the help of workers of city cemeteries. And that work was not over, it continues. Employees of the 8th squad plan to find and visit all their veterans until Victory Day on May 9.

Today, wide-scale interdepartmental complex drill passed in ‘Riviera’ hotel and entertainment complex. Fire extinguishing in a basement room, rescuing the injured, medical and psychological aid provision – firefighters and rescuers, medics and the police performed such tasks. The drill involved 84 pieces of technique from RSChS and 180 people, as well as more than two hundred supernumeraries. Five students of the ‘First Aid’ education center added significant realism to the drill.

On April 26, solemn event dedicated to the celebration of the Fire Service Day of Russia passed in Naberezhnye Chelny garrison. Veterans of fire service and rescuers were invited to the event, chiefs of fire and rescue departments of the garrison, cadets of ‘Firefighter-Rescuer’ corps, young rescuers. Before the concert, Chief of the office of fire extinguishing organization and rescue operations conducting of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Konstantin Chanyshev, the first Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, Rinat Abdullin, the Head of the Executive Committee of Tukay Municipal District, Rasim Asylgaraev, spoke to the audience with congratulations to firefighters and rescuers.

Including garbage extinguishing – 20, dry grass extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 54, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 0, cooperation with other services – 17. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires, including residential sector – 4, various types of property – 1.

And before the beginning of the competitions, more than 100 first-coursers of Kazan Federal University participated in the drill on evacuation. The voluntary students fire crew of the Universiade Village was the first to arrive to the conditional fire site. Arrived FD-10 departments visually demonstrated how fire crew do combat tasks on the first building’s yard. Then, competitions among voluntary fire crews among two universities started.
