Within the work visit to Kazan, Vladimir Puchkov examined the work and combat readiness of response departments of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. The federal minister was accompanied by the Chief of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant-General of Inner Service, Rafis Khabibullin. The delegation of EMERCOM of Russia visited the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of KFU, where rescuer of EMERCOM pass the qualification improvement program, emergency call service 112 and fire and rescue department No. 3 on the protection of Moscow District of the 7th squad of federal fire service.

Today, there was held signing the protocol of conclusions of the VI session of Mixed commission for economic, industrial and technical cooperation between Russia and Portugal in Kazan. Also, there was discussion of cooperation in the field of emergency situations prevention and liquidation.

The first point of the program of the working visit of the Minister of The Russian Federation for civil defense, emergency situations and elimination of consequences of natural disasters, Vladimir Puchkov, to Kazan was the participation of the Head of EMERCOM of Russia and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, in solemn ceremony of awarding new fire and rescue technique for the needs of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. The ceremony took place on the territory of Kazan Tennis Academy. After that, there was held the ceremony of departmental awards of EMERCOM of Russia for employees who served excellent.

Including garbage extinguishing – 11, false alarms – 28, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 2 fires: residential sector – 1, outhouses – 1.

On September 19, a concrete slab fell on a man who was dismantling an uninhabited two-storey house in the town of Apastovo. Task force of Apastovo fire and rescue garrison’s crew, duty guard of FRD-106, a medical team of Apastovo central district hospital, rescuers of the zonal search and rescue squad No. 1 of the city of Buinsk. As a result of the accidents, the man (born in 1988) died. The police conducts investigations.

Today, VI Joint Commission of Russian-Portugal Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economy and Science and Technique Cooperation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Portugal started working in Kazan. On the first day, thematic sessions of work groups of the bilateral forum passed. They concerned the cooperation in the field of civil protection, emergency situations prevention and liquidation.
