On a visit at the Head department of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan the delegation of the Southern Moravian region of the Czech Republic led by Geytman Bohumil Shimek has visited today. The tour was conducted within the official visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the leaders of the Southern Moravian region.

Since the beginning of the swimming season (from June 1 to June 30) on water objects of the Republic of Tatarstan 50 accidents were registered, in which 37 people died, including 1 child until 16, 26 people were rescued. Main tragedy causes on the water are swimming in drunk condition, swimming in unequipped place, not keeping basic measures of safety on waters, as well as low skills in first aid provision, inability to swim.

On Saturday, inspectors of the department of safety on water objects during a cooperative raid with representatives of the police, Kazan search and rescue squad and OSVOD rescuers, the administration of the municipal district warned holidaymaking Kazanians who rest in ‘wild’ beaches about that. EMERCOM believes that municipalities should take more efficient measures to impose administrative fines. There are opportunities for this, but municipalities are not in a hurry to take administrative measures. OSVOD departments make a great contribution to the organization of the work on safety on the water. They function on the territory of all districts of Tatarstan.
