Yesterday’s Characteristic Incidents

Incidents as of August 6:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 110 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 26, false alarms – 52, grass burning – 1, stubble residue burning – 1, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 5, cooperation with other services – 7. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 8 fires, residential sector – 4, outhouses – 3, various types of property – 3.

Causes: violation of fire safety rules during electrical household appliance use – 2, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 3, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1.

Departures of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 7 times. 2 people were rescued.

Departures of voluntary fire protection units on firefighting – 5.

Departures of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 10 times. Doors unlocking – 1, traffic accidents – 1, searching operations on the water – 6, others – 2. Preventive works – 9. Safety provision of events – 2.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

Keep the rules of safe behavior on the water:

 - do not swim in a state of intoxication;

 - do not drive water vehicles (boats, water bikes, skis, etc.) near places where people swim;

 - do not jump into the water at unfamiliar places;

 - do not leave children on the shore without adult supervision;

 - do not allow children to go without permission to the water and swim.

In case of fire and other emergencies immediately call 01, or 112.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
