Rescuers Managed to Avert a Suicide Attempt

On March 10 at 8:11 P.M., a card with the report on a suicide attempt by the city of Kazan, “Millenium” bridge was received from emergency calls service 112 dispatcher. The first to arrive to the scene at 8:13 P.M. were forces and means of Zonal Search and Rescue Squad No. 2of Search and Rescue Service of the Republic of Tatarstan consisted of a duty shift on a rescue car with 2 people. Also, psychologies and ambulance medics arrived to the scene.

A young man born in 1992 threatened by jumping down from the bridge. According to him, he had argued with her wife. At 8:45 P.M., the rescuers delivered her wife and with her participation rescuers managed to drag the man over bridge railing. At 9:00 P.M., he was hospitalized in Republican Clinic Psychiatry Hospital named after academic V.M. Bekhterev.
