Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of February 21:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 66 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 14, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 17. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 17 fires, including 7 in the residential sector. 3 people died, 2 people were injured.

Causes: carelessness when smoking – 5, arson – 2, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 4, faulty electrical equipment of a vehicle – 1, faulty vehicle systems and mechanisms – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 2, violation of electrical equipment installation and technical use rules – 2.

Departures of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 9 times.

Departures of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 0.

Departures of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 10 times. Including: technogenic search and rescue operations – 6, environmental search and rescue operations – 1, others – 3. Preventive works – 7.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
