Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of October 20:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 67 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 25, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, singed meal – 5, cooperation with other services – 12, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, including 4 in residential sector, outhouses – 1, various kinds of property – 1, vehicles – 1. 1 person died. 1 person was injured.

Causes are: violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, carelessness when smoking – 4, faulty electrical equipment of a vehicle – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1.

Rides of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 11 times. 1 person was saved.

Rides of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Rides of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 8 times. Including: door unlocking – 1, traffic accident – 4, others – 3. Preventive works – 3.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
