Warning the Population on Severe Deterioration of Weather Conditions on the Territory of the Republic of Tatarstan on September 7-11, 2015

According to the data of Federal State Budgetary Institution “Office on Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring”, between October 7 to 11, 2015 severe weather conditions deterioration is expected on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The expected:

·      precipitations, strong in the East districts on October 8 (in the form of rain and slush on the beginning of the period, mainly in the form of snow in the rest of the period);

·      snowstorms with visibility reduce up to 1 000 meters and lower;

·      the North-East wind intensification with changing to the North-West wind with gusts up to 15-20 m/s, on October 8 and 9 up to 22m/s;

·      setting in of temporary blanket of snow;

·      local icy conditions of roads.

HQ EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Recommends:

Drivers to refrain from trips behind settlement without extreme necessity, to be attentive on roads, keep safe distance, choose speed mode which suits weather conditions.

The population of the republic should remove unfixed items from balconies and outhouses, firmly close windows. During the strong wind keep away from the eaves of buildings, advertising stands and overwire hangers, unstable awnings and rotten tree trunks. In case of hurricane winds it is necessary to hide in the lobby or the basement of a building to avoid injuries and mutilations.
