One year ago in Tatarstan gathering of the humanitarian help began for people suffered from battle actions in the South Osetia.

Nobody in Tatarstan was unaffected, when the 8th of August 2008 the tragic events in South Osetia started, irrespective of creed and nationality. In the divisions of Ministry of Emergency Situations  of the Tatarstan Republic phone calls were ringing with the citizens requests to help victims of osetian conflict.

In Tatarstan the staff for organizing the humanitarian help to citizen of the South Osetia was created. On the August 15, the first humanitarian cargo from Tatarstan has gone, accompanied by MES employees.  There were supplies of the prime necessity (washing-up liquid from “Nefis Cosmetics”) and foodstuff  (from “Essen production” ) with common weight of 109 tons.

On the August 19, the motorcade from Tatarstan as a part of group of escort of 179th Saving center of MES of Russia and also General Managments of MES of Russia of Mordovia Republic, Tula and Kursk province left Alagir town and moved to Tskhinval – the capital of the South Osetia.
