The main purpose of the Educational Center for Life Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus is the formation of a culture of life safety in society by educating the population, including children, on ways to protect and act in emergency situations, as well as civil and patriotic education of young people.
According to the head of the republic, visiting such places causes sincere admiration.
The training at the center is based on the principles of the game. It is based on methods of immersing students in an environment that mimics an emergency situation as much as possible, and in-depth study of the material by increasing the emotional perception of the simulated environment. The center uses interactive simulators and simulators based on modern information and communication technologies (virtual reality, augmented reality).
The delegation visited innovative sites and was able to make sure in practice that every visitor, from a child to an adult, not only hears the safety rules, but also immerses himself in an emergency situation, forming the skills of correct actions in case of danger.
At one time, the idea of such an educational center was spotted in China and South Korea. In these countries, security centers are open in every city. The population density there is high, any incident could lead to numerous victims, but a Chinese or Korean knows almost from the cradle how to behave in such cases.
