Safety begins from childhood: fire protection workers held events in educational institutions

15 May 2026, Friday

Educational institutions in the Republic of Tatarstan continue to take measures aimed at creating a safety culture among the younger generation. Employees of the state government institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Fire Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" actively participate in teaching schoolchildren the rules of behavior in various emergency situations — from wildfires to the occurrence of abnormal and dangerous situations.

On the basis of the Koshki-Novotimbaevsk school of the Tetyushy municipal district, an All-Russian exercise was held, dedicated to practicing the actions of employees and students in emergency situations. Employees of a separate post in the village of Bolshye Tarkhany of the Apastovо detachment of the fire service took an active part in holding this event.

During the training, algorithms for the interaction of all services were worked out, as well as the clarity and coherence of the actions of staff and students. But the most spectacular moment for the children was a practical lesson: the students watched with great interest the donning of firefighter's combat clothes, and also were able to try themselves in this role.

The fire service staff reminded the students about the rules of fire safety at home and at school, how to prevent a fire and how to act correctly if a fire does occur. At the end of the event, all students and school staff were given thematic fire safety memos so that the knowledge gained would always be at hand.

Novoshashinsk basic secondary school of the Atninsk municipal district took over the safety baton. An open theoretical and practical lesson on "Safety culture" was held for the students.

In a confidential conversation, the head told the children what civil defense is, what its main tasks are and how to behave properly in case of emergencies. A lot of attention was paid to fire prevention in the lesson.: how to handle fire, why you can't play with matches and lighters, and how to use primary fire extinguishing equipment.
The guys not only listened, but also actively asked questions, trying to find out how to recognize the threat and save their lives and health.
