Rapid response techniques and initial stabilization of the condition of calling applicants in the work of psychologists of SBI "Service-112"

The specifics of telephone counseling, characterized by a lack of visual contact and a lack of time, require from the psychologist not so much classical therapeutic interventions as operational algorithms for primary stabilization aimed at reducing physiological arousal and restoring cognitive control in the applicant.

It is important to understand that the purpose of psychological techniques of specialists is not to solve a person's problem, but only to stabilize him so that he can do the most important thing: give an address, open the door to rescuers or move away from a dangerous place. The task is to reduce the level of physical arousal in a short period of time during a telephone conversation (that is, to remove trembling, shortness of breath, stop the flow of incoherent words) and create a tiny island of clear consciousness.

Thus, the effectiveness of the psychologist's work from the emergency line is determined not by the depth of interpretation, but by the speed and adequacy of the application of sensory grounding and respiratory synchronization algorithms. Real-world examples confirm that even a two-minute initial stabilization can change the trajectory of an acute stress state, preventing the transition from affect to destructive action, which is the highest criterion for the quality of work in conditions of extreme telephone communication.
