Employees of the search and rescue squad No. 1 (Buinsk), together with SISV inspectors, carried out planned measures to control the ice situation on the Volga River. The patrol was carried out in the water area of the Kama-Ustie municipal district. To move through the unstable spring ice, the rescuers used a "Slavir-9U" hovercraft, which allows them to quickly reach remote areas and ensures the safety of the rescuers themselves when performing tasks.
During the raid, the main focus was on the places where fishermen and local residents could go out on the ice. The specialists conducted 15 preventive conversations, during which they explained the deadly danger of being on spring ice, told about the signs of its destruction and the rules of self-rescue.
A total of 28 people were involved in preventive measures during the patrol period. Each citizen was given a memo with recommendations on safe behavior on water bodies in the spring. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan urges citizens to refrain from going out on the ice during the period of active melting. In case of an emergency, call "112" immediately.
