Rescuers held a lesson for schoolchildren about safety in spring reservoirs

2 April 2026, Thursday

Employees of the ZSRU No. 5 (Nizhniye Yaki village) conducted a preventive event at a local secondary school. A thematic discussion was organized for the students on the topic: "Rules of safe behavior in reservoirs in the spring period."

The rescuers told the children in an accessible form how dangerous spring ice is, why it is impossible to go out to reservoirs during snowmelt and how to act correctly if someone falls through the ice. Experts paid special attention to the ban on games near cliffs and washouts, and also recalled the emergency numbers.

The lesson was held in the format of a live dialogue: students asked questions and shared their observations. A total of 22 people took part in the event, 20 of whom were children. Each student was given memos on safe behavior on water bodies in the spring (15 copies were distributed).

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds: in spring, the ice becomes loose and fragile. Entering it is life-threatening! Explain the safety rules to children and do not leave them unattended near bodies of water. In case of an accident, call 112.
