5 March 2026, Thursday

Employees of a separate post for the protection of the village of Shigali held an educational open lesson in the kindergarten, which became a bright and memorable event for preschoolers. The main purpose of the meeting was not just to introduce the rules to the children, but to lay the foundations for safe behavior in an accessible and entertaining way, to show the importance and nobility of the firefighter's profession, and also to give an opportunity to examine real firefighter uniforms and special equipment up close.

The lesson began with a conversation, together with the firefighters, the children figured out in a simple and understandable way why a fire can happen, what needs to be done to prevent it, and how to act correctly if a fire does occur.

The culmination of the meeting was a demonstration of equipment. The children examined a combat helmet, a breathing apparatus that allows them to work in thick smoke, and a fire hose for water supply. Everyone could not only touch the tools, but also try on some of the uniforms, asking the firefighters all the questions they were interested in.

The lesson program also included watching an educational cartoon on fire safety. Animation helped consolidate the acquired knowledge in a fascinating way, making the information even more memorable.
