The All-Russian Fire and Rescue sports competitions for the Cup of the EMERCOM of Russia have come to an end in Ufa. More than 300 of the strongest athletes from 15 regions of the country competed for three days for the right to climb to the highest step of the podium. And in this intense struggle, the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan proved its high class, taking the honorable second place in the team competition.
On the opening day of the competition, medals were awarded in the "Assault Ladder" discipline. Our renowned world champion Arina Khvorystkina distinguished herself here, rising to the third step of the podium, winning the bronze medal in the individual competition. In the 100-meter steeplechase among girls of the senior age group, Estella Tokareva finished second, bringing the silver medal to the team.
On the second day, the strongest athletes took part in the two—man event, a discipline that summarizes the results of the "stormtrooper" and the hundred-meter steeplechase. Roman Wagner, the head coach and athlete of the national team, showed the third result, adding another bronze award to the team's assets. But the main surprise was waiting for the women's competition. Arina Khvorystkina showed a high result, winning the gold medal and leaving St. Petersburg and Bashkortostan behind.
On the final day of the competition, the athletes overcame an obstacle course. And here the Tatarstan national team reasserted itself: Kirill Evdokimov finished third, winning bronze in the individual competition and making an invaluable contribution to the team piggy bank.
The national team of the Republic of Tatarstan confidently took the second place, confirming the status of one of the strongest fire and rescue schools in the country.
