On February 11, 2026, a fire broke out in a private apartment building in the village of Voikino, Alekseevsky district. The preliminary reason is a violation of the rules of operation of furnace heating. The owner of the house was asleep on this winter evening and was awakened by the sound of an autonomous fire alarm. It was this signal that became decisive. The detector went off at an early stage of the smoke, which allowed the owner to leave the burning room in time.
The installation of an AFD remains the most effective measure to prevent deaths and injuries in fires. This is the 129th time that people have been rescued from fires in residential buildings (apartments) in the period 2016-2026, when a timely alarm signal allowed people to evacuate on their own. They saved the lives of 320 people, including 104 children.
