Snow front: how Tatarstan firefighters face the elements full armed
This winter, the republic was hit by the elements. Cyclones gave way to anticyclones, snowfalls to blizzards, and by early February, snowdrifts in populated areas of Tatarstan reached 203% of the average monthly norm. Roofs of buildings, sidewalks and pedestrian paths were under the weight of snow.
In pursuance of the Commission's decision, employees of the fire service of the republic went out to clear snow debris. Residents of the settlements joined forces in the fight against the snow element. Employees of the "Fire Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan", showing an active civic position, on their own initiative joined the work on clearing the territories.
In the village of Bolshoe Nurkeevo, Nizhnekamsk, firefighters cleared snow around fire hydrants. The Almetyevsk detachment also organized snow removal in the assigned territories. Firefighters do not forget about their own rear. In order to maintain the combat readiness of the units and prevent the collapse of the roof, a separate post for the protection of the village of Mamykovo of the Nizhnekamsk detachment was cleared.
