Fire and rescue sport turns 89 years old this year. From an applied discipline for professionals, it has become a dynamic national and international sport, accessible to all ages. This is a unique field that not only educates champions, but also forms children's values of a healthy lifestyle, safe behavior skills in emergency situations, develops team spirit and helps in choosing a future profession.
In 2025, the social project "Fire and rescue Sports", prepared by the Tatarstan Republican Branch of the Military Educational and Vocational School, became the winner of the Raisa Grant Competition of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project is being implemented with the support of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The essence of the project is to give a start to young athletes aged 11-14. For this purpose, the republic's powerful infrastructure will be used: specialized indoor arenas in Kazan, Almetyevsk and Nizhnekamsk, professional equipment and experienced trainers.
Two large — scale stages are planned within the framework of the project - spring and autumn. At least 26 school teams (from 208 children) will take part in each of them. Each team will undergo a cycle of 6 training sessions, culminating in 6 competitions, one in each city during the stage. This will allow hundreds of boys and girls not only to master the basics of sports, but also to feel the spirit of healthy competition.
Tatarstan is proud of its history of fire and rescue sports, which is carefully preserved in the Hall of Fame of the Federation of fire and rescue sports of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan.
