Visiting firefighters: schoolchildren tried on the profession of firefighters
The Fire Department of the Republic of Tatarstan pays considerable attention to career guidance work with the younger generation, actively introducing children and teenagers to the everyday life of fire and rescue work.
For example, an "Open Day" was held for local school students at a separate security post in the village of Bolshoe Shemyakino, Tetyushy district. The children were able to get acquainted with fire fighting equipment, try on firefighters' combat clothing and learn about fire extinguishing equipment.
Another similar event took place at a separate security post in the village of Bilyarsk, Alekseevsk municipal district, where firefighters introduced students of the Bilyarsk secondary school to the specifics of their profession, demonstrated fire-fighting equipment and even allowed the children to sit behind the wheel of a fire truck. Holding such events not only contributes to the professional orientation of young people, but also helps to consolidate important knowledge on fire safety, forming a responsible attitude towards personal and public safety issues among the younger generation.
